Not sure where to begin with your VA disability benefits claim?
From applying for an initial VA disability claim to appealing an unfavorable decision, we’ve got you covered!
How to apply for VA disability benefits
The first thing is to file a disability claim. In most cases you can file a disability claim online using VA Form 21-526EZ. Learn more here. A VSO can also assist you at this stage. We can only help you if your claim has been denied or you received an unfavorable decision from the VA.
When to appeal an unfavorable VA decision
If you’ve already filed a claim and disagree with the VA’s decision you have the right to appeal, and we can help. Just fill out our free evaluation form to talk more about your case with one of our VA-accredited claims agents.
When to appeal for an increase to your disability rating
Did you know the average disabled vet is underpaid by over $1,000 every month? If you are already receiving VA disability benefits but your condition has gotten worse, or you feel your rating is too low, a VA-accredited claims agent at the Rep for Vets can also assist you in obtaining the maximum benefits possible.
If your disability prevents you from working…
You may be eligible for TDIU, also known as Individual Unemployability. Any veterans whose disability is rated at 50% or higher and cannot work should be receiving benefits at the 100% rate. Learn more about Individual Unemployability.
